Ice Cream Cone Birthday Card

These are the cards that I am making for my 5th grade students for each of their birthdays! Recognize the ice cream cone? It is the icing from the cupcake builder punch! The cone is from the Pennant Parade set! Love the cherry on top made from red glimmer paper! I cased this card and changed it a little. Cute huh? I hope that they will like them! What do you think?

Fall Card Samples

These are the cards for my September Take $2 Tuesday class which will be held next Tuesday, September 27th. This is the first time that I have used the background Sunflower and I love it!! Thanks to my friend Kathy Seals that I cased the card from. The other card is a case from page 16 of the Holiday Mini Catalog! Thanks to SU! for the inspiration! I offer three card designs for the class and I think that the last one is going to be a Halloween card!

Sweets for the Sweet

What a quick and simple card! It is hard to see in the picture, but I put a layer of Crystal Effects over top of the candy piece. In person, it really looks like a piece of hard candy! YUM!

First Christmas Card of the Year!

I guess it's never too early to start making your holiday cards right? Here is a sample of the card that we made on July 25 to celebrate Christmas in July! I cased this card from Robin Merriman, who recreated it from a card she saw in a craft magazine! Thanks for the inspiration Robin! Contact me if you are interested in coming to my next Christmas card class on September 19!

Take $2 Tuesdays Share

Here are this week's Take $2 Tuesdays cards! Enjoy them!
Here is a closeup of the cupcake card. I added some Crystal Effects and some Dazzling Diamonds tinted blue! It reminds me of the sugar crystals that my mom used to put on cupckaes when I was little! Yum!

Lace Ribbon Border Punch

Here is a clean and simple card using the Lace Ribbon Border punch! The punch does take a little getting used to, but thanks to my friend Kathy Seals she got me straightened out with some great tips for using the punch. Be sure that you are on a hard surface. The resin tables that I use in my stamp room have just enough give in them that I was not getting a firm punch. Also, be sure that you are standing when you use it. The punch needs to be flat on the table when you put the pressure on it. Even pressure with both palms help to give you a clean image. These tips were just what I needed to use the punch successfully! This is an easy card to duplicate! Enjoy!

Strength and Hope

This was one of my favorite sets from the just retired Summer Mini catalog. As I have mentioned before, I am active in our local Relay for Life. When this set came out, I was excited to see that some proceeds would be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation by Stampin' Up! These are the 3 cards that we made in a Strength and Hope Class. They were all cased from fellow stampers. Thanks for looking today.

Take $2 Tuesdays

Happy September! I know that it has been a month since I last posted! We were away for two weeks in August. It was a great family vacation in Myrtle Beach and Williamsburg! It was difficult to come home! When we returned, back to school took full attention. My son just started his freshman year in high school, my daughter began fourth grade and I am beginning my 20th year in education! This year I am teaching 5th grade and we are off to a great start! Today I am sharing cards that we created in a new class that I am teaching called Take $2 Tuesdays. Once per month, I hold this class. Attendees can choose from three different cards to recreate. They can make as many of each style as they would like to. Each card is $2 including the envelope, hence the name Take $2 Tuesdays. Here are the cards that we made at the first session! Let me know what you think!
