Bottlecap Bling!

What fun these were to make! And so quick and simple! Bottlecap magnets! I stamped the images with Black Stazon, then used the 1 inch circle punch to cut them out.  I put one large glue dot on the back to secure them. Notice the little bit of bling!? Rhinestones and pearls! It is hard to see in the picture, but I finished them off with a layer of Crystal Effects to seal it all in and give them a little shine!  These were part of a class that I did a few weeks ago called Cheap to Chic.  We turned inexpensive items into fun new projects.  Go look around for some common, everyday items to change into something new!  Share what you create with all of us!

Lots of Blossoms!

It is soooo cold today in Pennsylvania!  We had snow yesterday and school was cancelled for the first time!  I enjoyed the day off and spent some time creating!  I needed a break from winter and Valentine's so this is what I came up with!  Do you like it?
This is the Build A Blossom stamp set and I used the coordinating punch to punch it all out!  I used Baja Breeze ink for the petals, Old Olive for the leaves, and Cajun Craze for the center and the sentiment.  Love the new Framed Tulips embossing folder too!!! This card is just begging for the snow to melt and the chilling winds to go away!!! Enjoy today wherever you are!

Hugs and Kisses

Sharing another Valentine's Card!  This was made at my upline, Cathy Buch's house!  She had us all over for a fabulous Xmas open house.  Lots of good fun, friends, food and of course, stamping!  The photo doesn't show it well, but the gray card base has embossed polka dots! Love that folder!  I am really liking the red  glimmer paper too!  I am not a huge fan of glitter normally, but there is no mess with this paper at all!  It just gives the card that little bit of dazzle that brightens it right up!  Enjoy!

Queen for A Day!

Who doesn't enjoy being queen or king for a day?!  I have been wanting to share this for awhile and I am finally getting around to it!  One of my wonderful uplines, Janet Wakeland (check out her blog at http://www.remarkablycreated.com/) hosts DIVA Days for her downlines.  She always sets goals for us to earn and if you reach them, and you are able to travel to her house for DIVA Day!  Well, at our December DIVA Day we were greeted with these beautiful name tags at our spots!  Love it!  If you have purchased any Smooch Spray from SU!, you may recognize the triangular cardboard tube that it comes in as the base for this name tag!  What a great idea! She can reuse them because our names are written on the chalkboard vinyl!  So cute and so green too!

Decor Elements Plate

A dear friend of mine shared these fabulous plates with me.  She thought that I might be able to find something to do with them......she does know me well!  I remembered that I had won this decor element at one of my upline meetings and wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it!  It fit almost perfectly onto the plate.  I only had to trim about a 1/4 inch off of the square for it to fit!  I love how it turned out, so I started digging through my stash of decor elements to see what I could find to fit onto the other 3 plates that she gave me!  Here they are ( I know that they are Christmas, but they are cute aren't they?).

Gorgeous Gift Bag

Isn't this cute!?  New purse or gift bag?  Both!  One of my SU! teammates came up with this idea.....not sure who, so I can't give credit by name.  Sorry!  Sooo simple!  2 sheets of black 12 x 12 cardstock, whatever DSP that you love for the patterned strip across the front of the purse, another thin strip of patterned DSP to crimp and create the flower, an antique brad and the bag on the inside!  Went to my favorite dollar store, Dollar Tree, and purchased their very sturdy gift bags (2 for $1).  I cut the top off and then adhered the black paper to it.  I know that you can get gift bags cheaper, but Dollar Tree sells them in a variety of colors that match all of our DSP!  Wouldn't this make a great best girlfriend gift bag?  A great gift bag for your bridesmaids?  A new mom gift bag?  A mother's day gift bag?  Best yet, a Valentine's gift bag?  The possibilities are endless!!!

Four Seasons Scrapbook Frame

I have had this frame for about a year......I just couldn't decide what I wanted to do with it.  Finally, last week I decided that I was tired of storing all of them ( I have 13 more!).  So, I found this great website, http://www.52sketches52weeks.com/  and starting looking for sketches to case.  These are the pages that I came up with......and a new class was born!  Four Seasons Scrapbook Frame!  Attendees will get the frame and then create the four 8x8 pages.  The small white discs in the corners are really strong magnets that hold the pages in place.  So, you can create the pages, display them for as long as you'd like, and then add them to an 8x8 scrapbook!  The stars of my pages are my two great kids through the seasons (and the years)! What do you think?

Love in a Box

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new paper Love Impressions in the Occasions Mini!  This is a very simple box that holds completed cards.  The box is made from one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 Really Red cardstock!  I will post the dimensions soon!

Inside the box are these cute cards!  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new red glimmer paper too!  The pictures really don't do it justice.  You can't get the full effect of how shimmery it really is!  My nine year old daughter wants to use it for her Valentine's projects for school!  She LOVES it too!  These will be the projects at my January classes! Enjoy!

Hope for a New Year!

As I have mentioned before, I am very active in the Pottstown Relay for Life.  It has been something that I have participated in for the past 11 years.  I started with the Relay the year that my dad passed away from lung cancer in 1999.  My involvement has been on several different levels ranging from a participant to a team captain to a member of the steering committee.  It has been a truly life changing experience.  In honor of all of my family and friends that have waged the horrible battle against cancer and have won and unfortunately lost, I have created this charm.  This year I will be selling these charms to raise money for my Relay team, The Trotting Teachers.  Enjoy!

Happy New Year!

Well, here we are in 2011!! Doesn't seem possible does it?  We were just talking today about New Year's Day 2000!  Remember the anticipation of 2K?  Everyone was worried that anything with a built in calendar was going to explode!  We stockpiled water and some dry goods just in case the world's electric power went out because the circuit boards wouldn't be able the handle the changeover to a new century!  When the clock struck 12 that night, the world collectively held their breath and waited for disaster......nothing!  Just Dick Clark kissing his wife after the ball dropped in Times Square!  Confetti flying, champagne corks popping!  Pretty uneventful!  It is really hard to believe that it was 11 years ago already!  Here's to a new year!  Health and happiness to all of you!
