Fall Leaves

Still the calendar says fall and the weather says summer here in Pennsylvania.  We are having record high temperatures for October right now and it is just gorgeous out!  I remember it being like this in 2001 around this time too.  My daughter was born October 30.  When I went into the hospital I wore a very comfortable fleece long sleeve shirt that was very warm because it was a chilly fall day. Four days later when we brought my daughter home I wore the same shirt.....whew it was sooo warm on that day that I was actually sweating by the time we got home from the hospital that day!  So, this fall weather right now reminds me of that time.  I can't believe my daughter will be turning 9 years old already!  This card was made for a workshop that I just held at Amanda's house.  I will be sharing the other projects soon too!  Amanda and her family are so much fun to be around.  We all had a great time!  We made our own ink pads out of baby wipes and refill ink!  My daughter loves that technique because she loves tie-dye and she thinks it looks tie-dyed!  Enjoy the fall day wherever you are!

Rudolph Day!

Can you believe that Christmas is only 2 months away! My friend Leann over at The Old Parsonage  introduced me to Rudolph Day.  Celebrated on the 25th of every month, it is a day set aside to do something for the Christmas holidays.  In honor of Rudolph Day, I am sharing this ornament.  Isn't the fabric wonderful?  This is the new Stampin' Up! fabric.  I do not sew so I was sooo excited that this is a no sew project!  What is also nice, is that there is matching Deisgner Series Paper too!  A version of this ornament will be made and given to my co-workers, to our family for our annual ornament exchange, and for my daughter's teachers. So, if you are any of those people, please act surprised when you receive it!  Oh, I almost forgot,.....we will be making this at my Christmas Stamp Camp in November!  Happy Rudolph Day!  What will you do to celebrate!

Christmas Tag

Isn't this a cute tag?  The best part about is reusable!  How can that be you ask?  The black paper is actually our Chalkboard Decor Elements paper.  So, you can give the tag and the recipient can erase the to and from and pass it along to someone they are giving a gift to!  We made this adorable tag at our team meeting last weekend using the Candy Cane paper from the Holiday Mini.  This will definitely be a project for my Christmas Stamp Camp coming in November!  Check your calendars and come join me to get a head start on Christmas!

Another Halloween card! This is the first time that I have used the new Owl Punch!  I will be putting this punch on my favorites list!  Who knew that it was so versatile.....the ghosts are the owl upside down!  I cased this card from an SU! demo and adjusted some colors and the branch.  My 8 year old daughter LOVES the owl and has already asked if we can use it to make treats for her class for Halloween.  So watch for our project, it will be coming soon!
