Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to Everyone!
Today, I am sharing the Easter cards that my 9 year old daughter made for our family and friends.  She is so very proud of all of the cards that she makes!  I hope that they bring a smile to your face on this Easter Day!

Cutie Pie

Well my Pumpkin Pie, aka my nine year old daughter Emme, has been catching the card creating bug lately!  We recently had an AC Moore open very close to our home and we stopped in to check it out!  She talked me into buying her a huge cupcake/birthday stencil.  As soon as we got home she went straight to work.

These cards are the result of her hard work!  She even set up my usual picture taking corner and snapped her own photos!  I couldn't believe it!!!  She is very independent and definitely has her own opinions about things!  When she was finished she said to me, "Hey mom, can you put my cards on that blog thing you do?"  How could I possibly resist that, right?

She dug through my SU! stuff and added some rhinestones and slot punches for a little bling!!  Just curious, do your kids join you when you are creating?

Faux Tin Tiles

That silver brushed cardstock has been collecting dust in my paper holder for quite some time.....I finally found a technique that would make me dust it off!  I embossed the brushed silver with the Finial Press embossing folder and then used the 1 3/8" square punch to cut out the "tiles".  You can't see the shine too well in the photo, but it the "tiles" do look cool.  I have had those huge brads for awhile now too and I thought this would be a good time to pull those out too.  Many of my materials were things "I just had to have" when they came out and then I never touched them. I am making a huge effort to start using some of those must haves in my projects!  Keep an eye out for them the next few weeks!  I am getting ready for spring cleaning!!

Quilted Card

A quilted card!  And I can't even sew a button on.  That is not a lie, very sad but true. This technique just brings such a great look to the card, don't you think?  Once you have all of your flat pieces attached to your creation, select your favorite embossing folder and run it through the Big Shot!  It makes it look as though each piece is individually set into the card.  It is really cool looking.  I have been searching around to see what else I can quilt!  Enjoy the card!

Monochromatics

Well, I was in a monochromatic kind of mood while I was creating last week.  This is what I came up with!  The navy card was for my Friday Night Hostess Club!  The olive card was for my Wednesday Night Hostess Club!  They all seemed to enjoy the cards and I was pretty happy with how they turned out as well.

The Botanical Gazette paper and the Nature Walk stamp set is one of my new favorites.  I wasn't always into vintage (I know, I know), but this set has made me start to enjoy them more!

More Valentine's Bling!

These are the projects that my Friday night hostess club made last week.  We started off with the box at the top and then created each of the cards.  I really do love the red glimmer paper.  It just brightens up the cards! I borrowed the box and the snowman card from my December team meeting and my talented RemARKable teammates and leader! Thanks!  I really do love my Friday night group too!  They are all a great group of ladies!  We have a great time together eating, laughing, and creating!  I hope that you enjoy looking at them as much as we enjoyed creating them!

Hugs and Kisses

Sharing another Valentine's Card!  This was made at my upline, Cathy Buch's house!  She had us all over for a fabulous Xmas open house.  Lots of good fun, friends, food and of course, stamping!  The photo doesn't show it well, but the gray card base has embossed polka dots! Love that folder!  I am really liking the red  glimmer paper too!  I am not a huge fan of glitter normally, but there is no mess with this paper at all!  It just gives the card that little bit of dazzle that brightens it right up!  Enjoy!

Love in a Box

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new paper Love Impressions in the Occasions Mini!  This is a very simple box that holds completed cards.  The box is made from one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 Really Red cardstock!  I will post the dimensions soon!

Inside the box are these cute cards!  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new red glimmer paper too!  The pictures really don't do it justice.  You can't get the full effect of how shimmery it really is!  My nine year old daughter wants to use it for her Valentine's projects for school!  She LOVES it too!  These will be the projects at my January classes! Enjoy!

Love Cards!

Recognize this paper.....yes, I know! Still more Deck the Halls DSP!  These are more of the reasons that I actually bought more of this paper before it goes away when the Holiday Mini ends!  I just love the classic look of both of the cards, don't you? Thanks again to JanWakeland, one of my fabulous uplines that hosted the DIVA Day where we created these cards!

Got Any Leftovers?

Isn't this an adorable card?  And it is sooo simple!  I love it!  The patterned hearts are made from the current Christmas paper....Deck The Halls!  What a great way to use up the leftovers!  Or a chance to buy some of the paper before it is no longer available!  This is a project that we made at DIVA Day at Jan Wakeland's (she is a fabulous upline)!  I'd love to hear about how you use your paper leftovers!  Drop a comment with your suggestions!

Celebrate More Birthdays Card Samples

Yesterday, I celebrated my 41st birthday by stamping for a great cause!  The American Cancer Society has recently started using  the saying, "Celebrating More Birthdays" .  I decided to hold a birthday card stamp a stack to celebrate my day and donate to the Pottstown Relay for Life.  All class fees will be donated to my Relay team, The Trotting Teachers!  These are the cards that we made!  I love how they turned out.  They were meant to be clean and simple and easy to create!  Which one do you like the most?  Post a comment and let me know your thoughts!  Have a great day!

Celebrating More Birthdays!

Celebrating More Birthdays!  Today that statement has two  meanings!  The American Cancer Society has adopted this tag line as a way to say that there are more cancer survivors than ever before!
More Survivors=More Birthdays!  The other meaning.....today is my 41st birthday! My dad passed away 11 and half years ago from lung cancer and we also shared the same birthday.  Since my dad passed, my birthdays just have not been the same.  So I thought what a better way to honor my dad, fight cancer, and celebrate my birthday than to do what I love!  I am hosting a birthday card stamping event today!  Friends that attend will make 15 birthday cards for $20.  I will be donating the entire $20 to my Relay for Life team!  For those that cannot attend the event in person, I am offering a special:  Make a purchase from the following pages in the 2010-2011 Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalog! 20% of your purchase will be donated to the Pottstown Relay for Life. Choose from the products on pages 52 through 57 and page 153. All birthday sets in honor of “celebrating more birthdays”. Orders should be placed no later than November 28. If you do not have a catalog, please go to http://www.kelliwolfel.stampinup.net/ to view the catalog and place an order.  Thank you to everyone out there who fights the battle against cancer each and every day!  You all make a difference!

Wanna be a DIVA?

Then you need to join our RemARKable Stampers team!!  A DIVA is someone who has reached the goals set by our RemARKable upline Jan Wakeland!  Each month she sets business goals for her entire team.  If you reach them, then you are a DIVA the next month.  Jan opens her stamping studio, affectionately known as "Stamp World" to the DIVAS for more fabulous projects and for "playtime".  I am proud to say that I have earned DIVA Day several times, but unfortunately I have never been able to attend the celebration.  That is until last Saturday.  After our team meeting, we had a fun lunch out with some of our teammates and then went to Jan's.  WOW!  What a fun time we all had!  I will be sharing some of the DIVA projects with you over the next few days.  I hope that you enjoy them!  If you want to learn how to be a DIVA, contact me before the Stampin' Up! demo promotion ends on November 30.  50% off the Starter Kit is a great way to join!  This first project is a great card that celebrates LOVE!  Recognize the paper?  It is Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper!  Doesn't it look great!?

Another RemARKable Stampers Card

This is another card from our RemARKable Team meeting last Saturday!  So simple and easy to put together but it looks great doesn't it! The sparkles are a little hard to see but the dots on the paper and the brad inside the white circle are sparkly!! Love them!

Fall Leaves

Still the calendar says fall and the weather says summer here in Pennsylvania.  We are having record high temperatures for October right now and it is just gorgeous out!  I remember it being like this in 2001 around this time too.  My daughter was born October 30.  When I went into the hospital I wore a very comfortable fleece long sleeve shirt that was very warm because it was a chilly fall day. Four days later when we brought my daughter home I wore the same shirt.....whew it was sooo warm on that day that I was actually sweating by the time we got home from the hospital that day!  So, this fall weather right now reminds me of that time.  I can't believe my daughter will be turning 9 years old already!  This card was made for a workshop that I just held at Amanda's house.  I will be sharing the other projects soon too!  Amanda and her family are so much fun to be around.  We all had a great time!  We made our own ink pads out of baby wipes and refill ink!  My daughter loves that technique because she loves tie-dye and she thinks it looks tie-dyed!  Enjoy the fall day wherever you are!

BOO!

Another Halloween card! This is the first time that I have used the new Owl Punch!  I will be putting this punch on my favorites list!  Who knew that it was so versatile.....the ghosts are the owl upside down!  I cased this card from an SU! demo and adjusted some colors and the branch.  My 8 year old daughter LOVES the owl and has already asked if we can use it to make treats for her class for Halloween.  So watch for our project, it will be coming soon!

Fall Fun with Cork

On Saturday, I attended my RemARKable Stampers team meeting!  What a fabulous group of women that I got to spend the day with!  Isn't this card so simple but cute?  This is one of the make and takes that we did at our meeting.  I just purchased theBig Shot die cut that includes this leaf and it is cut out in cork!  Love the texture and dimension that the cork gives to the card. And the Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper is great for Fall projects too!  Shhh.....I think we will be making a project next month at our Hostess Club using this die and the cork!  Enjoy it!

Fall Has Arrived!

Well, today in Pennsylvania it was 87 degrees!  Who would've thought that in the last week of September we would still be wearing shorts and tank tops and running the air conditioner!  Even though the temperature outside says Indian Summer, the weather inside says that fall has definitely arrived!  One of the women in my monthly hostess club asked if we could make this card at our September club night!  She got the idea from Cardmaker Magazine. We used Autumn Vine Designer Series Paper which retired last year from SU!.  Enjoy the beautiful sights that fall brings where you live! Happy Fall!
